While Ilana worked in a graphic studio, Hans cared for firstborn daughter, Anna. It was during this time that Hans created his first lamp, dubbed 25W, marking the beginning of our creative collaboration.
Plastic Plus A Creative Journey
Our break through came when we designed the Clickon lampshade, ingeniously repurposing Ilana's polygal drawing case
In 1982, we established our workshop in the then-quiet Sheinkin Street, naming it Plastic Plus
By 1985, we expanded our vision by founding Cactus a designers' cooperative gallery that brought together talented creators from various design disciplines. This unique combination of workshop, store, and design gallery transformed the heart of Tel Aviv, making both Plastic Plus and Sheinkin Street synonymous with innovative design Evolution and Growth.
In 1994, We relocated to Pardes Hana, opening a showroom beneath a majestic old oak tree.
By 2000, Hans's creative spirit led to the founding of Retired a company born from the innovative repurposing of old tires.
Throughout the years, Our designs have found homes in shops and museums across Israel and internationally.
